Yes certain tables are unseated so to keep guests far enough apart to comply with social distancing
Yes, at times. It is ALWAYS fresh ...
Yes they do. I have had their Michigan Cherry Chicken, and it was delicious, and gluten free. Try it, you won't be disappointed.
No I don't believe
I don't think so.
If you make a reservation, they could make it work. I've never seen buffet when I was there. Just menus
No
Great spot to grab a bite! Great service and very nice staff. Would recommend stopping here to anyone that has never been. This was our first time here and we will definitely be stopping EVERY time we come to the UP!
My favorite UP restaurant. Great if you like looking at all the animals all over the place.
The food here is pretty good. The poutine is the best anywhere and their fries are off the charts good. The service was friendly but slow. The menu is limited if you don't want poutine, fish or a hamburger because that's about it. But what they do, they do well.
I was stationed at Coast Guard Group Soo, '91-92. This was "The Place" to eat. I was feeling nostalgic, and looking around the town and saw this on the map. From the reviews, if say this isn't the place anymore. Very sad to read how things are now. However, given it's been nearly 30 years, if guess the people running Antlers then have retired or passed away.In the early 90s I would have given this five stars without hesitation. Now, I have over less reason to go back and visit the area.
Fun place for dinner. Lots to look at on the walls and ceiling. Not a huge selection on food but we ordered two burgers and fries. Food was perfect and delicious. It's a definite stop while in the area. Staff was nice. They do welcomes with bells and sirens so it's loud but fun. Would come again. Food is a little on the higher end. Burgers were $10-$15 each
It's been a long time since I ate here... Sorry, it was slow... And the service even slower. And I'm pretty sure my fish wasn't suppose to be that greasey... I will try again after they have been open awhile longer
Great food. Great atmosphere. Great service. Fair reasonable prices.
So much fun. The place is packed with taxidermy and antlers. Quintessential "up north" bar. But the food was superior to "bar food". The whitefish (several choices of preparation) was delicious and served with a generous portion of perfectly cooked fresh vegetables. Wouldn't expect that. Dinner was delicious. The sandwiches and fries were also excellent. Lots of poutine on the menu, so there's that too.
such a great atmosphere. Plenty of stuffed animals and a great view of the Canada border. great food too.
I do not recommend maybe back ribs . They were dry
Charging extra just to have lettuce or tomato on a burger and chicken sandwich that is already ten dollars. We have been here before and thought it was great it is not anymore.
Great time up there we go there every year
Unique atmosphere. Service has always been good. Food prepped and served well. Drinks good without major shortcuts. We enjoy visiting this establishment when in the area and would recommend for those that are looking for a good meal at a reasonable price.
Very cool place. Awesome fish. Good prices. Well worth the stop if your looking for somewhere to eat in the area.
Chili is good and plentiful. The pulled pork bbq on a Hawaiian bun was awesome. The fries are the real deal
I will never eat at this restaurant, I only went here after I read a book of 101 things I should do in the UP before I die, we got there and the seat had mustard on it and got all over my pants, then when we got the bill for our burgers, found out we were charged 30 cents for every added item, mayo, lettuce tomato pickles etc! Absolutely ridiculous and we all had stomach issues later that night
I used to live in Cedarville 30 years ago and frequently visited this place. We loved coming here. I was happy to see it was still open and had indoor dining during this Covid-19 situation. The food is still great. Huge Hamburgers. There is a large selection of unique animals displayed. My favorite is the standing polar bear thats been there all these years. Its was sad not to see it busy (Covid-19 limitations) as the past. They used to ring bells, whistles, sirens and horns for visitors from afar. I asked if they still put the display on for visitors? I told our server we were up from Tampa, FL and she played the "Loud Display" for us. Exhilarating and Deafening. Ha Ha. I didn't remember it being that loud. Perhaps because the place was empty, not full of people. I recommend this place. Still a favorite of mine. Support the locals.
Great staff. Good food. Good drinks. Reasonable prices. Lots of stuffed game animals. Don't go there if you're a PITA member and don't go there and protest and ruin a lovely thing for the rest of us.
Definitely worth a visit, if just to see all preserved animals (the variety is amazing and everything is real) and the bells and whistles show.
Food was great. All the animals all over the walls where great to keep kids busy. Lol
Food was great staff was amazing prices were pretty good as well will def recommend
The decore is amazing. There's so much to see in there. Our waitress was great, very friendly and nice. However, the food was absolutely horrible. We ordered the walleye. The fish we were given tasted nothing like walleye and was filled with bones. The prices are high. I'm not sure what their bells and whistles thing is for. It's just annoying and disruptive in the middle of lunch than anything.
Conflicted review. The place seems nice, clean. Ordered the Buffalo chicken poutine and the fries were cooked well and the chicken was tasty. The problem was there was hot sauce over every single piece of French fries. There was a soup of hot surrounding the fries. However, the fries held up and the cole slaw went perfectly with the dish. I tasted the venison poutine and it was delicious. The service was fantastic, Cathy hit it out of the park.
Great food, great service. This was were we met almost 16 years ago. We recently got married and went back for our honeymoon and I think we had the same waitress.
Ate here yes found the prices very high food quality very very low won't eat here unless u pay me !!!!
Busy place, fun inside everywhere you look. If eating with Taxidermy animals all around you freaks you out don't go here. Food was good a bit pricey.
Solid four or more for darling attentive friendly service and fun curious atmosphere but the food was just okay.Paul Bunyan burger was good but everything's extra. So the "deluxe" gets you lettuce and tomato but not cheese, that's extra too. And it took a little bit of an undertaking to get it all together. Had to ask for Mayo, pickles twice, and even scavenge a few onions from my salad to get it right.Onion rings were good. Decent enough salad.Enjoyed reading the place's long interesting history off the menu and getting creeped out over the ghost stories. I didn't see no ghost. And that dessert poutine was just about a rip-off. Took it to go and ended up throwing it out.
I've heard many things about this place over the years. Finally got to go there this year. We heard it had been sold and wasn't the same as in its glory days. Decor was as expected and previously described. The first visit was a typical restaurant trip with no fanfare but good food. I had whitefish, which is almost a necessity in the U.P unless you hate fish. Very nicely prepared and presented. The second visit was a bit more interesting. They ran thorough some of the fanfare I had heard about - including the siren. Definitely would return.
Interesting place. Food was moderate. Wouldn't go back.
The food was sub par... the "whitefish po'boy" is the most boring fish sandwich you'll ever eat... we got stuck eating in the ice cream parlor section because of "social distancing ", however the next 2 couples that walked in asked for and we seated in the main restaurant... not to mention the price, worst $40 meal I can ever remember paying for
This restaurant is a tourist trap, service is friendly, polite. The food burger my children ordered were a bit over done, and they were not asked how they would like them cooked, and the burgers were expensive nickel and dime you everything is a la carte, even tomatoes and lettuce. My meal was cherry chicken dish, it was delicious but it must have been the smallest chicken because it was smaller than a McDonald's Mcchicken, disappointed in quantity for the high price
Always amazing! As soon as you walk in the door you feel like family!
Good food, friendly staff, eclectic decor. One of the more "touristy" places to have a meal in the Soo, but a must see none the less.
The food was very basic, and the dine in prices are high for the quality of food, which tempt me to score it 3 stars. But if you get takeout prices however, a meal with fries only costs $5, which is a great price. The service we got there was excellent, our waiter was extremely friendly and went out of his way to make sure our needs were met. The atmosphere was fun as well due to the antlers and taxidermy animals from around the world displayed on the walls and shelves.
My experience was absolutely FANTASTIC!! Don't remember the waitresses name but she was very kind and paid attention to our table. The restaurant itself is setup so you can enjoy great food and still "social distance" Thank you for the great experience. We will be back for more!
Okay, first off... There are dead animals, and antlers... But,, the place is great! The staff was fantastic. And the food hit the SPOT. TiP: Ask for all the bells and whistles when you order....
Wow!!! What an experience - and that's just walking in the door. Taxidermy everywhere...hundreds (if not thousands) of antlers - deer, moose, elk. The food was excellent. Started with poutine - my first, and really tasty. Next we all had the whitefish platter. A very flavorful and moist fish. I subbed onion rings for the fries and oh my God! Let me tell you, they are to die for!!! It was well worth the money. I will definitely go back.
Food was just ok, interesting inside
We went here for dinner on a weekday. I am a vegetarian, so its challenging to find a place where I get good food. My friends were happy with what they ordered but I didn’t feel that the meal is sumptuous despite the large quantity. I had only one option to go with because they didn’t have any thing vegetarian other than a sub. We ordered an apple pie and we got one comparatively much larger pie than any other place. The ambience was good and the service was very good. So, in-spite of a dissatisfied meal, I walked away with ok feeling. I would say I would recommend this place for one time if you are vegetarian and not sure about meat lovers.
Bland, not great. Order was wrong and place is so dirty
Truly a great burger and hand cut fries! A must visit when in the Soo. Lots of seating, spacious and over looking the St Mary river. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable of their menu. The rafters are full of taxidermy and antlers of many types! The cost is good including an incredible $5 dollar carry out half pound burger and fries! We we're very pleased with our meal. Also has bus parking available. The old bubble hockey game is also a good reason to visit. Thanks Kathy for the great service. Enjoy.
We took our 5 year old here for his 5th birthday. It was awesome. The decor is unique to say the least. We couldn't help but walk around and look at all the taxidermy. The staff was very very friendly and we had the best waitress... Can't remember her name 😞. The only reason it's a 4 star review instead of a 5 is because the food was not the best. Apparently the grilled cheese is phenomenal. (According to my 13 year old). But my burger was bad. Maybe try it out and stick with the grilled cheese.
The service was good but the food and drinks were not! I ordered a mama bear poutine which was cold and an iced tea which was truly disgusting. They were nice enough to switch it and did not charge me for it tho! The atmosphere is amazing I truly love it but I highly recommend not eating there.
Bigfoot burger & Antler burger both cooked to perfection with a GREAT amount of cheese. Gravy is a great texture with no overwhelming flavours. 2 people ate and had soda for 32$ with a decent portion going home. Great service and didnt take long at all. Clean atmosphere.
It was a fun place! Food was very good! Waiter was great! World highly recommend!
It was not busy, since it was lunch time. The waitress was very attentive and really nice. They did the whole bells and whistles thing because it was my birthday meal...which makes it fun. The food was great, and the dessert was yummy.
Some great fish and a great view. Love the ambiance of this place, and the servers are always friendly and hospitable, haven't been here since last summer but they make you feel like it was just yesterday.
Ordered hand dipped ice cream. $5.25 for 2 scoop waffle cone. Very small scoops. Overall seems like a nice place. Many Antlers on the walls. Unique place.
Was disappointed spending over $17 for walleye basket and got only one piece of fish. French fries tasted like a burt building. Triggered a asthma attack , it was awful.
Great restaurant, food, service, atmosphere!
